Dream Medical are working in conjunction with a surgery in Nottingham looking for a dedicated GP to join on of our esteemed client in Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidate will work in the practice clinical team delivering high-quality healthcare to registered and non-registered patients within a large practice. The practice operates within a health centre delivering extended and weekend hours and provide support to GPs, nurses and other clinicians within the practice.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide surgery consultations, telephone consultations.
- Deal with queries, both over the telephone and in person
- Make professional and autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems whether these are self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
- Assess the health care needs of patients who have undifferentiated or undiagnosed problems
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- Consult with patients in line with current practice disease management protocols to develop care plans for health
- Provide counselling and health education
- Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer them to other care providers as appropriate
- Record consultation notes clearly and contemporaneously within agreed standards
- Collect data for audit purposes
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible
- Prescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary, or generically, whenever this is clinically appropriate
