We are recruiting for a Full Stack Developer to join a growing software business with an established product and a broad client base.This is a hands-on role for someone with around 23 years of experience in a development team who enjoys a varied position. You will be involved in both ongoing development and support-related investigation work, helping to improve and evolve bespoke applications while ensuring quality, security, and reliability remain high.It would suit someone who enjoys working in a smaller team environment, takes pride in writing clean, maintainable code, and is keen to keep learning as technology and best practice evolve.

The RoleYou will be supporting the development and maintenance of bespoke web applications, implementing new features, investigating bugs and data issues, and working closely with internal teams to deliver improvements across the development cycle.Alongside strong technical ability, this role needs someone who is thoughtful, thorough, and security-minded in the way they approach software development.

What You Will Be DoingSupporting incoming development-related issues and investigating bugs alongside the support teamIdentifying, documenting, and resolving software bugs and data issuesDeveloping new features and enhancements across existing applicationsWriting well-structured, maintainable code in keeping with existing projectsTesting thoroughly across a range of use casesProducing clear notes and guidance for testers where neededManaging work through project tracking and project management toolsCommunicating with different teams to help prioritise work and deliver within set development cyclesKeeping up to date with modern technologies, security considerations, and software threats

What We Are Looking ForAround 23 years of experience within a development teamGood understanding of web security fundamentalsExperience with source control, ideally GitStrong skills across JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, HTML, CSS, and MySQLGood communication skills and the ability to work closely with support teams and managementA willingness to learn and adapt within a changing technical environmentA quality-focused approach, with an understanding of security best practice and compliance requirements

Desirable ExtrasDegree in Computer Science or similarUnderstanding of cloud infrastructure, services, or securityPrevious web development experience, particularly web applicationsExposure to WordPressAdditional programming language experience such as PHP or C#
