Description

Join a leading, doctor‑voted medical recruitment agency in the UK, specialising in providing locum, fixed‑term, and permanent doctors across a range of grades and specialties. As an accredited supplier on all national supplier frameworks (including CCS, CPP, and HTE), we are a trusted provider of high‑quality candidates to NHS Trusts, GP surgeries, and private healthcare providers.

This is an exceptional and unique opportunity to establish yourself in a new recruitment role focusing exclusively on placing across all levels, from Junior Doctors to Consultant grade, within the UK healthcare sector. You will be operating in a tough, candidate‑driven market, with the primary goal of building long‑term relationships and a consistent candidate pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive candidate sourcing & engagement – headhunting and outreach across all grades through various channels (database, job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, etc.).
  • Relationship building – develop and nurture long‑term, trusted relationships with potential candidates, understanding their career goals, motivations, and availability for contract work.
  • Pipeline management – maintain an organized, clean, and detailed candidate pipeline to ensure future vacancies are covered.
  • Screening and interviewing – conduct screening to assess candidate suitability, experience, and compliance readiness against current vacancies and framework requirements; present shortlisted, qualified candidates to the Recruitment Manager/Client.
  • Account & vacancy management – proactively fill dedicated vacancies within established NHS and private sector frameworks and contracts, matching the right candidate to the right role.
  • Compliance and administration (handover) – screen candidates against initial compliance criteria and pass full compliance documentation to the dedicated Compliance Team; ensure accurate logging in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Self‑starter / self‑motivated – ability to work independently, manage time, and drive activity without constant supervision.
  • Persistence and dedication – resilient mindset for a tough specialist sector where results take time.
  • Recruitment healthcare experience in temporary/contract or permanent divisions.
  • Evidence of achieving targets in a pressurized environment.
  • Experience in psychiatry desirable (not essential).
  • Must be able to travel to Skipton at least one day each week.

Our Commitment

Ainsworth Recruitment is steadfastly committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. We actively encourage applications from all qualified candidates regardless of their background. Furthermore, we are dedicated to providing transparent feedback and consistent support throughout your job search journey.
