Role: Credit Controller (Full‑time, permanent). Location: Office based in M34 3SH. Hours: 8:45‑5:30 Monday‑Thursday and 8:45‑3:55 Friday. Salary: £24,720 basic with OTE £35,000 (uncapped commissions).
RVA are award‑winning business rates reduction specialists helping businesses across England and Wales reduce their business rates liabilities. We need Credit Controllers who take ownership and deliver results by securing payment of fees.
The Role
You’ll manage your own portfolio of client debtors, ensuring the prompt collection of success fees while maintaining professional, commercial relationships. Working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment where your performance directly impacts the business and your earnings, you’ll be incentivised to maximise collections through our competitive commission structure.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and owning your debtor ledger end‑to‑end
- Proactively chasing payments via phone and email
- Keeping accurate records of all communications and agreed actions
- Resolving invoice and account queries quickly to remove barriers to payment
- Identifying risks early and escalating where needed
- Supporting the wider Credit Control team to hit targets and improve performance
What We’re Looking For

- Target‑driven – motivated by results and earning commission
- Highly organised – able to stay on top of multiple debtors
- Commercially aware – you know when to push and when to elevate the issue
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in credit control or collections in B2B
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and record keeping
- Experience working within a B2B environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Sage (preferred)
