Job Summary
We are looking for a Band 6 Clinical Practitioner to join the AWP CAMHS Eating Disorder Home Treatment Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and motivated team of individuals who are passionate about supporting Children & Young People (CYP) to access intensive mental health support in their home environment.
You will be working with CYP with a range of eating difficulties and other comorbidities who are at risk of hospital admission, have not responded to community treatment or require support to return home from a hospital admission. Our aim is to support CYP, alongside their families and carers, to recover at home. The service places a strong emphasis on continuing professional development and clinical supervision for all team members.
The role will be based in our Home Treatment Team, working alongside locality CAMHS teams, and will involve providing regular home support for young people, their families and/or carers, including meal support. You will also offer excellent supervision to support workers within the team to provide person‑centred care to a high standard and prevent young people being admitted to inpatient services.
The position is part of the AWP CAMHS Eating Disorder Home Treatment Team and involves travelling across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. A valid driving licence and reliable access to a car are essential.
Responsibilities
- Work with CYP with eating difficulties and other comorbidities at risk of hospital admission or requiring return home support.
- Provide regular support in the home for young people, families and carers, including meal support.
- Offer and maintain excellent supervision within the team to deliver person‑centred care.
- Lead support within the EDHTT and adapt treatment plans based on evidence‑based practices for diverse presentations.
- Travel to meet the requirements of the role across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, requiring a driving licence and access to a car.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hold a professional registration appropriate for this role.
- Valid driving licence and reliable access to a car for travel across the region.
