Apply for the Senior Software Engineer
Location: Greater London
Job Description:

Senior Product and Platform Engineers | Python | Series A AI Fintech | London | Hybrid

You’ve built something genuinely impressive in the last few years. The work was hard, the problem was real, and you were good at it. On the surface, your CEO thinks you’re happy. But you’re not.

Maybe you’re feeling underappreciated, been looked over for a key promotion or a promised pay rise.

Maybe the manager who challenged you has left, or the engineers you respected have moved on and the team around you isn’t what it was.

Maybe you have opinions about how the product should be built and nobody’s asking for them anymore. The roadmap is owned by someone else and your input goes into a process that doesn’t really change anything.

Maybe you used to be in the room where decisions got made and somewhere along the way you stopped being invited.

Maybe you joined twelve months after the Series A and the equity you received reflected that.

Maybe you’ve delivered something that changed the business and the only person who didn’t benefit from it was you.

If any of that sounds familiar, read on.

This is a Series A AI fintech. YC-backed. $9M ARR. 150+ regulated financial institutions depending on the platform daily.

The CTO was Head of Data Science at one of Europes most successful fintechs. The Head of Engineering was the founding engineer at another before it became a household name.

The founding team is openly planning an IPO and the equity on offer is priced before that trajectory is fully understood by the market.

The backend was built to get to market fast. Now it needs to be built to last. That re-architecture moment, taking something that works and making it scale, only comes around once in a company’s life.

You get it here with 150+ live customers, a proven team, and a clear destination.

15 engineers in London. At this size, your work is visible. Your peers are exceptional. The path to tech lead or staff engineer is real, and it’s available to the people who are there early enough to earn it, not to whoever was already in the room.

The equity is priced now. That window closes as the company scales.

The role

Fully hands‑on IC. Building and scaling the Python backend that powers document automation for lenders, fintechs and banks.

LLM‑powered workflows, platform reliability, distributed systems at fintech scale.

This team deploys multiple times a day. You own what you build end to end.

The engineers here use AI tooling as a multiplier on judgment, not a shortcut. If you’ve genuinely rethought how you work because of what these tools can do, that’s exactly who they’re looking for.

Stack: Python, GCP, distributed systems. IC mindset, you want to build, not manage.

Compensation

Base: £120,000-£185,000 depending on level. Meaningful equity priced before the IPO trajectory is fully baked in.

Quarterly salary reviews. Visa sponsorship available. Health insurance, pension, uncapped leave, Spill mental health support, weekly team lunches.

Two days a week in Farringdon. The rest is yours to manage.

You don’t need an up‑to‑date CV to start a conversation. Email reuben@techmunity.io or apply via the link.
