You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in London in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager – Rail who will successfully manage a project commercial delivery team, project finances and contractual obligations internally and externally, including all subcontract packages as a member Project Management Team.

As the Senior Commercial Manager – Rail, you will:

  • Be able to produce preliminaries estimate and assess staffing levels for projects for commercial and production staff
  • Understand business core objectives and create / maintain networking opportunities.
  • Set a commercial strategy that sets challenging financial targets that achieve the best case gross project margin and where possible outperform Targets.
  • Monitor and manage the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
  • Monitor and manage the Design Change Management philosophy in accordance with the Project Strategy.

We are looking for:

  • Experience working on large projects (ideally within a rail environment).
  • Good working knowledge of NEC contract/commercial law.
  • Experience of working in rail projects desirable.
  • MRICS or CICES desirable.li>
  • Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.
  • Experience with managing commercial teams of 5+ members.
