Senior Production Manager – Machine Shop, Doncaster. Join a well-established, design-led manufacturer, overseeing a team of 30 in CNC machining, edge banding, and drilling. This hands-on leadership role offers full responsibility for shop floor performance and culture, with a clear path to Head of Manufacturing within two years for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 30 (plus 4 team leaders)
• Drive output, quality, and reliability improvements
• Manage both make-to-order and make-to-stock production
• Embed lean tools, metrics (SQCDPI, OEE), and foster a high-performing team culture
• Be highly visible in day-to-day operations and influence senior stakeholders

About You / Qualifications

• Strong experience in CNC/edge banding (ideally KBB sector)
• Proven leadership in furniture manufacturing
• Success in high-mix, short-run environments
• Able to lead change and develop talent

You’ll need the credibility to lead experienced operators, adapt quickly, and balance detail with big-picture thinking. This is a stepping stone to senior operational roles—deliver results, shape the team, and progress to Head of Manufacturing within 12–24 months.
