Your impact in the role:
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes from pre‑contract stage through to completion, integrating development, commercial, and construction activities.
- Lead on programme planning using Asta Powerproject, identifying critical paths, resources, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Provide planning advice and insight to senior managers, supporting informed decision‑making across projects.
- Assist in the preparation of initial development plans, tender documentation, and logistics strategies.
- Monitor, review, and update programmes regularly, including carrying out site visits where required.
- Explore and advise on innovative construction solutions, assessing programme implications of new technologies and methodologies.
- Manage and support a small planning team, ensuring high performance, development, and alignment with L&Q values.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support collaborative programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, regulatory, and governance requirements across areas under your control.
What you’ll bring:
- Extensive experience within the residential or housing construction industry, with a proven track record in a planning role (essential)
- A hands‑on year of construction planning experience, including experience managing or mentoring others (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and labour resourcing.
- Advanced proficiency in Asta Powerproject and strong general IT skills (essential)
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and programme management skills, with meticulous attention to detail (essential)
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams (essential)
- Construction‑related degree (desirable).
- CIOB membership and CSCS accreditation (desirable).
- A proactive, structured approach and the confidence to support senior management with complex planning insight.
