Senior Mental Health Practitioner (RMN, OT, Social Worker)

Belmont Recruitment is working with a West Lancashire based CAMHS team in Skelmersdale to hire a Senior Mental Health Practitioner / RMN / OT / Social Worker on a contract basis.

This is a 3-6 month contract with potential extension opportunities. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday 9am‑5pm, 37.5 hours per week, with weekend work possible depending on the position. Pay rate: £24.00‑£40.00 per hour (depending on shift pattern).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Use clinical reasoning to undertake assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programmes for children and families, liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate.
• Take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who present to the service with mental health problems, especially those at risk of or who have attempted deliberate self‑harm.
• Prepare report writing and exercise professional self‑governance in accordance with professional codes of practice and conduct.
• Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children, young people and their families/carers.

Qualifications

The applicant must be qualified with the NMC to be considered for the position.
