Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

A leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their in‑house Design Department.

Their innovative processing and packaging line equipment is used across a wide variety of industries including food & FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Design high‑quality, innovative, and commercially competitive products.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and other departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Contribute to expanding core product ranges, integrating technological developments in automation, and developing bespoke solutions to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks and sheet metal & fabrication design.
• Background in Mechanical, Product, or Industrial Design.
• Experience working for a manufacturer of food‑industry products is beneficial.
