Position: Senior SAP S/4HANA Engineer (ABAP / Data-focused)

Location: Swindon, UK (Hybrid – 3 days a week from office)

Contract: 6 months

The Role

This is a senior, hands‑on delivery role focused on solving complex SAP data and integration challenges that directly impact migration success. It is suitable for individuals who thrive in high‑pressure delivery environments and can operate with real autonomy.

Your responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Engage directly with architects, platform teams and senior stakeholders.
• Deliver with minimal dependency on vendors or third parties.

Essential skills / knowledge / experience

• Proven experience working with SAP Business Partner at scale.
• Strong hands‑on SAP S/4HANA experience, particularly large‑volume data migration, complex integrations and interfaces.
• Deep technical expertise across ABAP, OData services, CDS Views and AMDP, and performance tuning in S/4HANA environments.

Desirable skills / knowledge / experience (as applicable)

• Proven experience working with SAP Business Partner at scale.
• Ability to independently diagnose, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Comfortable engaging directly with architects, platform teams and senior stakeholders.
• Able to deliver with minimal dependency on vendors or third parties.
• Banking experience is beneficial but not mandatory; depth, judgement and ability to deliver when it really counts are paramount.
