Responsibilities

  • Accountable for managing the administration of approved baselines on the project and establishing a change management process through an Investment Change Committee (ICC) model.
  • Ensure that project scope, budget, forecasts, and schedule are maintained in alignment with acknowledged approved changes processed through both project‑level and programme‑level ICC meetings.
  • Capture and manage changes through the change management process, governing their progression through various statuses via ICC meetings.
  • Facilitate and implement the change process, ensuring delivery teams operate within the governance framework for budget transfers and contingency draw‑downs.
  • Support and advise on processes and procedures required to implement change control; work alongside Project Controls Managers and Change Engineers.
  • Assist the Baseline & Change Lead in preparing for ICC meetings and developing the customer (nuclear client) change process.
  • Work within the larger Programme Management Office (PMO) team to ensure an effective change process that supports delivery safely, on time, to budget, and to agreed quality.

Requirements

  • Professional work experience in one or more of the following disciplines: programme, project, controls, or commercial management.
  • Knowledge of project structures such as WBS and CBS.
  • Understanding of change control and governance.
  • Strong team collaboration and initiative.
  • Ability to interface and operate in a large corporate environment.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • 8 to 10 years total experience within change management.
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a change engineer.

Essential

  • Educated to at least degree level, or equivalent training and experience.

Desirable

  • Practical working knowledge of project control processes and tools.
  • Experience with a range of project/programme management software packages and workflows of communications between contractor and client.
  • Experience and understanding of change control principles and management of change against a defined baseline on a major infrastructure programme/project.
