Senior Practitioner Psychologist
Provide clinical services to children and young people aged 12‑17 with complex needs in Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home, Hailsham, East Sussex.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and delivering therapeutic interventions for young people.
- Consulting, supporting and training residential and educational staff.
- Supervising other psychological professionals when applicable.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary health team and receiving supervision from a Principal Clinical Psychologist.
Additional duties:
- Attend training in Level 1 Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) as part of recruitment and ongoing professional development.
- Work 30 hours per week, typically Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with flexible start‑finish times where possible.
The role is within a 12‑bed secure children’s home that supports trauma‑informed, formulation‑driven care within the Children and Young People’s Secure Estate (CYPSE) framework.
Eligibility: Licensed Practitioner Psychologist with a clinical or forensic background who supports children and young people who have experienced early adversity.
