About the Role
The Medic Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, wellbeing, and smooth operation of the estate. This is a high‑visibility, dual‑role position combining core security responsibilities with emergency medical response. As a first responder, the officer is trained to deliver effective first aid, life‑support, and trauma care until emergency medical services arrive. The role requires excellent judgement, physical readiness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure—operating both independently and as part of the wider estate security team. The highest level of professional standards and consistent approach to ensuring a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond to medical incidents across the estate and provide first aid or extended life support within the scope of training.
- Assess patient condition, stabilise injuries, and prepare casualties for handover to the London Ambulance Service or other emergency responders.
- Ensure medical equipment and supplies are stocked, functional and accessible during duty hours.
- Support evacuation or shelter‑in‑place procedures in medical or multi‑casualty situations.
- Remain alert to safeguarding concerns, particularly relating to vulnerable individuals requiring medical attention.
- Maintain accurate incident records, including medical details, and submit these to the Control Room to support central reporting and follow‑up.
- Participate in regular medical training, drills and scenario exercises to ensure response readiness.

Qualifications
- Strong situational awareness and sound judgment.
- Professional appearance and behaviour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous security experience (beneficial).
- Knowledge of the estate layout and procedures/facilities (beneficial).
- Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Confidence in triage, CPR, AED use, bleeding control, and casualty handover.
- In‑date FREC 3, FPOS, or equivalent accredited pre‑hospital care certification (required).
- SIA – DS licence
- Exceptional Customer service skills and verbal communication
