About the Role

We are working with a specialist marine insurance and risk advisory firm seeking an experienced Marine War Broker to join its growing London market team.

This is an opportunity to work with a global portfolio of clients across shipping, commodities, logistics, and offshore sectors, placing complex marine war and associated risks into the Lloyd’s and international insurance markets.

The successful candidate will play a key role in client servicing, market negotiations, placement strategy, and business development within a highly specialised and fast-moving class of business.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate, and place Marine War risks into Lloyd’s and company markets
• Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business opportunities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, insurers, and clients
• Advise clients on evolving geopolitical, regulatory, and maritime risk exposures
• Prepare market presentations, slip documentation, and placement submissions
• Monitor market conditions, sanctions developments, and war risk trends
• Collaborate with internal teams across claims, operations, and analytics
• Support growth initiatives and contribute to the expansion of the marine portfolio
