Quality Analyst / Tester – Remote

Nucleus is looking for a Quality Analyst to support Third Financial. The role is to support the products within a traditional software team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers to ensure the product quality.
• Manual Testing – Conduct manual test suites against software products.
• Test Planning – Write own test plans documenting the purpose and approach of the testing to be carried out.
• Test Script Creation – Write own test cases and test scripts for regression suites and functional development suites.
• Conduct Static Testing – Conduct static testing in the form of spec reviews.
• Engage in requirement review and solution design meetings in order to offer QA understanding of usability and testability.
• Bug logging and Tracking – Taking ownership of the defects to ensure they are adequately resolved.
• Conduct Exploratory testing.
• Taking responsibility for the accountability of QA tasks and reporting on progress.
• Reviewing Playwright test cases for coverage and acceptance criteria.
• Work with web based testing tools for cross platform testing.

Key Attributes and Skills

• Good understanding of ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
• Good understanding of Development Methodologies.
• Planning and own task management.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• User Interface knowledge to assess UI changes against confirmed standards.
• Problem Solving Skills.
• Experience with SQL and basic query language is a benefit but not a must.
• Experience with Playwright test automation tooling.
• Experience with Postman and API testing
