Overview

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiology Consultant to join our forward‑thinking and collaborative team based at Musgrove Park Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well‑equipped department delivering a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services.

Qualifications & Requirements

• FRCR and full GMC registration
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to outstanding care with a chest subspecialty interest
• Experience in cross‑sectional imaging, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound and PET‑CT platforms

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality patient care across diagnostic imaging and interventional services
• Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Participate in audit and service‑development initiatives
• Deliver cross‑sectional imaging and MDT participation
• Provide out‑of‑hours cross‑sectional cover on a 1:12 rota
• Support a team of over 25 radiologists and utilize cutting‑edge imaging technologies (3 MRI, 3 CT, 4 ultrasound bays, on‑site PET‑CT scanner and purpose‑built oncology centre)
