Oncology Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our well‑established Oncology Breast Cancer Service as a Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist. This post will be based at the University Hospitals site with possible travel to Rugby St Cross for outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

• Establish and provide a specialist service for the care and ongoing management of patients diagnosed with breast cancer undergoing treatment.
• Participate in the provision of high‑quality care from diagnosis, through treatment and during follow‑up.
• Make informed decisions within your own area and scope of practice to ensure agreed standards and targets are met.
• Develop and implement opportunities for advancing clinical practice and for ensuring collaborative working relationships, incorporating expert clinical practice, leadership, consultation and education.

Qualifications and Experience

• Dynamic, inspirational and forward‑thinking practitioner.
• Extensive experience in oncology.
• Excellent leadership, management and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Enthusiasm, a desire to learn and flexibility.
• Skillful, caring and compassionate nursing practice.

Requirements

Successful applicants must provide an immunisation and vaccination report from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
