Job Description

• Lead a large History department consisting of Trainee Teachers, ECT, Teach First, and experienced History Teachers.
• Develop and implement a fantastic history curriculum for KS3-5 (GCSE & A Level).
• Manage and motivate a diverse team of history teachers, fostering high standards and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the department aligns with the school’s outstanding ethos and Ofsted expectations.
• Prepare for future leadership opportunities within the school.

Person Specification

• UK QTS required.
• Strong understanding of the History curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a range of personalities and inspire staff.
• Outstanding expectations for yourself and fellow teachers.
• Commitment to CPD and professional growth.
