The role

We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our growing European team with an ideal location at our Heywood office. This role will have a European reach and cover all procurement across the region. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager and working as part of a European team. The role is suited for someone who understands the procurement process and is eager to learn more. Full support and training will be given. We have a flexible environment with good opportunities to work from home one or two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day‑to‑day procurement queries and supporting Managers across the business with any issues.

  • Preparing, submitting, evaluating, and managing the RFP process.

  • Working with suppliers, supporting them with queries, and helping to onboard new suppliers.

  • Negotiating and administering new or expiring supplier agreements and contracts.

  • Source vendors of equipment and supplies and assess them to determine strategic alignment with the organization, as well as product/service availability and terms of sales.

  • Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment, and processing invoices.

  • Analyzing historical spend data to identify new ways to reduce costs and improve quality.

  • Working in Smart Sheets.

  • Setting up catalogs in the system using Workday Strategic Sourcing.

  • Working with the business to understand what they need from suppliers.

Who we’re looking for

Ideal candidate understands the procurement process and would like to learn more and develop their skills into a career in procurement. They are comfortable with new technology and have experience in Smart Sheets or Google Docs. They are data‑driven and use business analytics to understand and continuously optimize sourcing activities.

We are looking for a service‑mindful Procurement Analyst that enjoys working on changing priorities and can manage multiple sites while building great relationships. Working as part of a global company, they will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve the best results.

Essential requirements

  • Previous experience in procurement or a similar role is beneficial, but recent graduates or early‑career individuals are also welcome.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in Workday Strategic Sourcing or other procurement systems is beneficial.

  • Ability to manage and analyze data.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Natural curiosity along with a high degree of enthusiasm and commitment.

  • Sound judgment and decision‑making, considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service to field and functional partners.
