Job Description:

Join our Financial Assessments and Benefits Team as a customer-focused and organized Senior Administrative Assistant and help support some of Hampshire’s most vulnerable residents.

As part of our friendly and supportive team, you’ll play a vital role in administering financial assessments that determine how much clients are required to contribute towards the cost of their care services. Combining strong administrative skills with attention to detail and excellent customer service, you’ll help ensure that assessments are processed accurately, efficiently and sensitively.

What you’ll do:

  • Contact clients by phone and email to book appointments for a team of Assessment Officers.
  • Process financial assessment information, ensuring forms and supporting evidence are complete, accurate and recorded in compliance with General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act requirements.
  • Create, maintain and update electronic client records throughout the assessment journey.
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues by phone, email and in writing, providing clear information and resolving queries.
  • Record and communicate assessment outcomes, ensuring information is accurately maintained across care and financial systems.
  • Support service delivery through monitoring officer safety, assisting with reassessments and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • A good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English at Grade A* to C or 9 to 4, or equivalent, or numeracy and literacy to an equivalent standard.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Good Microsoft Office, Teams and general IT skills, with confidence using digital systems and technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused and professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, remaining calm under pressure and committed to achieving high standards.
