What the day will look like

A varied role which will provide exposure to internal and external stakeholders, with responsibilities to include helping manage the existing portfolio of facultative reinsurance facilities, supporting the development of new opportunities and bringing them to market, helping to build general and client-specific marketing materials and assisting with internal data reporting.

Managing the flow of correspondence and data with clients and reinsurers

Ensuring accuracy and completeness of portfolio reporting information

Drafting contract documentation and submission materials

Being responsible for accurate and timely invoicing and payments

Analysis of datasets and presentation thereof

Assisting with the marketing of new and renewal business

Ensuring compliance with all necessary regulatory and internal standards

Expert use of necessary systems and digital platforms

As market leaders in this product segment, the teamu2019s remit is uniquely broad: client service, market management, portfolio analysis, new business origination, contract wordings, placement, invoicing and reporting to senior internal stakeholders. The initial focus for the successful candidate will be to learn the fundamentals, before broadening into all of the aforementioned areas and gaining credibility over the medium- and long-term as a specialist in the portfolio deals.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

2+ yearsu2019 experience of the (re)insurance industry, in either broking, underwriting or a closely-aligned support function

Working knowledge of both treaty and D&F products, with some first-hand insight into a particular class(es) of business

Strong analytical capabilities and a willingness to conduct and present portfolio analysis

A methodical approach to process-driven tasks, learning the fundamentals of how facultative facilities are managed on our clientsu2019 behalf

A team player who is perennially collaborative, offering support, guidance or simply u2018an extra pair of handsu2019 to immediate colleagues and others across various teams
