Construction Solicitor – Associate (Contentious)

London | NQ+ | Up to £105,000 DOE

A leading international law firm is looking to recruit an Associate to join its highly regarded Construction Litigation team in London. Applications are encouraged from NQs up to around 5PQE.

A highly respected construction disputes team

The team is recognised as one of the market leaders in construction disputes, acting for major insurers and construction professionals on complex, high-value claims across the UK and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior up to mid-level associate to develop specialist expertise within a top-ranked team handling sophisticated and technically challenging contentious construction work.

The role will involve advising range of clients including insurers and insureds on a broad range of matters involving:

• Architects

• Engineers

• Project managers

• Contractors and construction consultants

Broad scope and nature of the work

The team is known for working on a broad range of matters of high complexity. You will work on a mix of:

• Professional indemnity disputes

• Construction litigation

• Adjudications and arbitrations

• Risk management and coverage advisory work

• High-value and complex multi-party claims

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Manage and assist on complex disputes from an early stage

• Work closely with highly regarded partners and senior lawyers

• Gain exposure to major insurer and construction industry clients

• Develop advocacy, drafting and strategic advisory skills

• Build long-term expertise within a specialist and growing sector

Ideal applicants

The firm is keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Experience in construction disputes, professional negligence or commercial litigation

• Strong drafting, analytical and organisational skills

• Excellent communication and client-handling ability

• A commercial and solutions-focused approach

Previous experience is welcomed but not essential for candidates with a strong litigation background or transferable skills.
