Provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, including those with mental health diagnoses, neurodiversity, or trauma histories. Assist service users in developing daily living skills to promote independence within their own home. Monitor and report on individuals’ progress and wellbeing, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored support plans. Maintain accurate records and adhere to organisational policies and safeguarding procedures.

Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable. A genuine interest in mental health and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with vulnerable individuals are required. Commitment to confidentiality, respect, and professional boundaries is essential. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are necessary to complete documentation and follow care plans. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Duties

  • To facilitate the delivery of a service which follows a person-centred ethos and promotes independence
  • To complete dynamic risk assessments and support plans
  • Promote wellbeing and appropriately manage risk
  • Ensure adherence to company and national policies and procedures
  • Collaborative working with a team of professionals with a wide range of backgrounds
  • Maintain compliance with mandatory & additional training in place to enhance your professional development

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience, ideally Mental Health/LD/Neurodiverse support
  • Ability to positively address and challenge inappropriate or negative behaviours and attitudes
  • Experience of using therapeutic de-escalation and/or crisis intervention techniques
  • Able to respond to changes in an individual’s needs and meet deadlines
  • To encourage and manage participation and involvement from the people we support
  • Computer literate, with confidence in using Microsoft office programmes

If you have an interest in working in the mental health sector and making a positive difference, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our a brand new 1 to 1 service in the Brighton area!

We are looking for 3 dedicated staff for a this new service for a 1 to 1 client that will require 24/7 support in her own accommodation setting. This role is open to female applicants 0nly.

The hours for this service will be 12 hour shifts plus 2 or 3 sleep in shifts per week. The staff successful for this service will be designated to this one client, however may also be allocated to another service from time to time to work with other clients and also to ensure all contracted hours are filled.
