Position: Regional Technical Specification Manager – Electrical Products
North London & East Anglia – Remote

We’re recruiting on behalf of a market‑leading UK life‑safety products manufacturer (Smoke, Heat, and Carbon Monoxide alarm systems) with a strong reputation for compliance, innovation, and specification success across residential and housing‑led construction markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically credible specification professional to step into a high‑autonomy regional role with genuine influence at design stage.
The Opportunity
You’ll act as the technical and compliance authority across your region, driving early‑stage specification and ensuring compliant fire/smoke and carbon monoxide detection solutions are designed into:
- Residential & mixed‑use developments
- Social housing & local authority frameworks
- New Build Housing
- Private rental & refurbishment programmes
- Contractor‑led and maintenance projects
Key Responsibilities
- Drive early‑stage design and specification
- Influence local authorities, architects, consultants, contractors & housing providers
- Deliver CPD and technical education
- Translate Building Regulations into compliant system solutions
- Produce technical submissions, quotations & proposals
- Undertake site surveys, validation, and commissioning support
- Work closely with sales teams and distribution partners
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in technical sales or specification (electrical products preferred)
- Strong knowledge of residential specifications
- Confident delivering CPDs and technical presentations
- Commercially aware, professional and well‑organised
- Full UK driving license
