Head of Technology Operations | Digital Transformation | Multi-Site Entertainment Organisation

The Role
We’re supporting a well-established, multi-site entertainment organisation in hiring a Head of Technology Operations to lead the evolution of technology services across 6 venues and 2 offices, supporting 300+ users in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
This role focuses on improving technology service delivery, strengthening operational maturity, and driving digital transformation across the organisation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and external partners, you will ensure technology services effectively support venue operations, customer experience, and commercial performance.
The role is service leadership focused rather than deeply hands-on, with responsibility for service management, operational governance, vendor management, and technology transformation across a complex multi-site environment.
Key priorities include:
- Maturing IT Service Management – improving processes, governance, and service visibility across currently fragmented tooling and support models
- Driving Digital & Operational Transformation – modernising technology services and improving operational efficiency across venues
- Strengthening Cyber Security & Compliance Governance – overseeing Cyber Essentials, PCI/DSS, and organisational risk posture
- Improving Operational Resilience – ensuring reliable technology services that support live venue environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation’s technology operations and service management function
- Provide leadership to internal teams and coordinate delivery with managed service providers and technology partners
- Improve ITSM frameworks, service reporting, and operational governance
- Ensure technology services align with business priorities and venue operations
- Manage a £3m+ technology budget, ensuring effective supplier performance and value delivery
- Oversee key vendor relationships including MSPs, infrastructure providers, and application partners
- Provide governance across cyber security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Partner with senior leadership to identify digital improvements and operational efficiencies
- Develop service performance metrics and reporting for executive stakeholders
Technology Environment
The organisation operates a modern technology estate supporting venue operations, including cloud platforms, productivity tools, EPoS systems, and telephony services across multiple sites.
Internal teams and specialist vendors manage the platforms, with this role focused on service oversight, governance, and strategic improvement rather than hands-on delivery.
- Leadership experience in IT Operations, Technology Services, or Digital Operations
- Experience improving IT Service Management frameworks and operational processes
- Involvement in technology or digital transformation programmes
- Experience managing technology vendors and managed service providers
- Budget ownership and commercial management of technology services
- Strong stakeholder engagement with senior business and operational leaders
