Overview

Join our fantastic team at Fulkers Bailey Russell in Bristol as we look for a Senior Project Manager. We are a leading consultancy passionate about delivering projects that make a meaningful impact. This role provides the opportunity to manage a major project for the Bristol region and gain hands-on experience with innovative construction methods on a complex, large-scale project in the City centre.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a variety of construction projects, autonomously managing them from outset to completion in a hybrid working environment, while developing your career as a future leader.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects of varied size and complexity, undertaking day-to-day activities of a Project Manager, and provide senior support and representation on projects as required
  • Support other senior staff in project delivery and internal processes
  • Guide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and guidelines
  • Support Associate Directors with resource management, fee management and reporting
  • Maintain good client relationships as the main point of contact for queries
  • Review lessons learnt and implement changes for future improvements
  • Keep internal systems up to date (finance and resource trackers) and ensure timely sign-off of invoices
  • Support in conflict resolution and internal governance such as reviews of flash reports and senior signatories on approved documents
  • Ensure compliance with client gateways and governance processes
  • Produce fee bids with support from the Bid Team and Associate Directors
  • Mentor and train internal staff and participate in CPD activities
  • Collaborate with clients and other consultants
  • Observe Health & Safety provisions and CDM 2015 regulations, escalating any HSE issues
  • Strive to improve social and environmental impact

Requirements

  • Longstanding experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Ideally Chartered accreditation with experience post-qualification
  • Ability to deliver larger and more complex projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Support junior team members with mentoring and development
  • Development of leadership and management skills
  • Ability to manage fees and assist with fee bids
  • Generate new work through management of client relations
  • Excellent knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
