We are partnering with a financial services client undergoing a major finance transformation and seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the European deployment of Workday Adaptive Planning.
This role will take ownership of delivering a scalable planning, budgeting, and forecasting capability across multiple countries, working closely with finance leadership, technology teams, and delivery partners to ensure successful rollout and adoption.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for orchestrating the delivery of Workday Adaptive Planning across Europe, coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and country teams to ensure a consistent and well‑governed outcome.
You will act as the central point of accountability for delivery, ensuring the solution meets global finance standards while accommodating local requirements, and that it transitions smoothly into ongoing business use.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Owning the overall delivery approach for a multi country Workday Adaptive Planning rollout
- Coordinating multiple country deployments, ensuring alignment across timelines, scope, and dependencies
- Acting as the senior delivery contact for finance and transformation leadership
- Providing clear visibility of progress, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders
- Overseeing work delivered by implementation partners and ensuring it meets agreed standards
- Ensuring planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes are effectively enabled by the solution
- Supporting business readiness, go live activities, and post‑implementation stabilisation
- Managing delivery risk, governance, and financial controls in a regulated financial services environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Senior Project Manager with a track record of delivering large scale finance system implementations in financial services
- Hands on experience delivering Workday Adaptive Planning, ideally across multiple countries
- Strong understanding of financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting
- Experience working in complex, regulated organisations
- Comfortable engaging with senior finance and executive stakeholders
- Proven experience managing system integrators or third‑party delivery partners
Nice to Have
- Experience working alongside Workday Financials or similar finance platforms
- Exposure to organisational change, training, and business adoption activities
Background & Qualifications
- Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent)
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Finance or accounting knowledge beneficial but not essential
