Clinical Lead – Theatres – Scrub

Responsibilities

• Conduct and organize the Clinical/ Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, smooth running of theatre lists, organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
• Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate service demands of each department, including Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, Gynae.
• Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement, and ensuring policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our hospital who is registered with the appropriate governing body and has relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team towards a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, with knowledge and understanding of running a smooth and effective department.
