Overview

Executive search and recruitment for Technology, Media & Consumer. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join a global marketing agency. With a network spanning multiple continents and partnerships with some of the world’s most recognised brands, this is a pivotal role at a time of strategic transformation and growth. The business is embarking on a new chapter following a change of ownership and is seeking a commercially astute, strategically minded CFO to work in close partnership with the CEO. You will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s future, overseeing finance, commercial strategy, operations and compliance across a multi market, multi service offering.

The role

As CFO, you will:

  • Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO, driving performance, profitability and growth.
  • Lead on all financial and commercial matters, including strategic planning, forecasting and investment decisions.
  • Oversee business operations, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose and standardised across global markets.
  • Shape commercial strategy, negotiating high value contracts with clients and suppliers and ensuring compliance across multiple business units.
  • Manage financial reporting, budgets, working capital and risk, providing accurate insight to support decision making.
  • Play a hands on role in preparing the business for a Private Equity environment, optimising operational and financial efficiency.

About you

You will be a senior finance leader with proven success in driving business growth and managing change in a complex, multi market, marketing communications organisation (sector experience is essential, media agency preferred). Commercially sharp and operationally adept, you combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, ideally with exposure to private equity transactions or ownership transitions.
  • A track record in commercial contract negotiation, profitability analysis and strategic business planning.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused approach in times of change.
