• Salary: £400‑£450 per day (dependent on experience and kit)
• Working Hours: Monday–Friday 07:30‑17:00

MadiganGill is recruiting an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a reputable civil engineering client in Yeovil. This role offers a competitive day rate, a minimum 2‑month contract, and an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and ensuring works are delivered in line with technical drawings and specifications
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Providing technical support and guidance to site teams where required
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality on site

Requirements

• Proven experience working on groundworks, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Valid CSCS card
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Own kit preferred (rate dependent)
