We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer with at least 2 years’ experience on commercial mechanical plant. This role is ideal for someone confident with service, breakdowns, and fault finding, who enjoys keeping critical systems running and developing their career in a fast‑growing business.
Role
- Service, fault‑find, and repair commercial plant (pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, actuators).
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and restore heating.
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure reliability.
- Diagnose faults and implement long‑term solutions.
- Participate in a 1 in 4 on‑call rota.
- Support and train junior engineers.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience on mechanical or commercial plant.
- NVQ Level 3 in Gas/Plumbing or equivalent.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Confident communicator across teams and sites.
- Willingness to travel UK‑wide and cover callouts.
- Basic electrical competency and able to read P&IDs/schematics.
