The role
Contract Manager / Hybrid Location: Manchester or London
This is a key role within Smart DCC, offering ownership of end-to-end supplier contracts in a complex, regulated environment. The position provides strong exposure to senior stakeholders, with the opportunity to drive commercial value, cost efficiencies, and contract performance. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial insight, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving to deliver tangible business impact.

How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of key supplier contracts, ensuring governance, compliance, and performance delivery
- Drive commercial value, identifying cost savings and efficiencies while minimising financial risk
- Lead on contract change, negotiations, and issue resolution across complex programmes
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external suppliers
- Ensure robust risk management and audit-ready documentation in a regulated environment
What you need to bring:
- Proven experience managing large, complex supplier contracts in a commercial environment
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including working with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to drive value, manage risk, and ensure contractual compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills in a multi-project, matrix environment
- Experience in contract governance, risk management, and working within regulated or complex environments
