Bury
Full Time
£52,413.21 – £53,459.66 plus £2000 market supplement
Become a Children’s Team Manager for Bury and help with our ‘Let’s Do it for Children’ vision.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Team Bury. We are a supportive and small Local Authority, continuing our improvement journey as a Team Manager – an integral part of that journey. We promise to develop your skills and support your learning. The role is one of the most challenging and rewarding roles in Social Work.
We want the best talent in Bury and need practitioners who will help influence the services we are developing. We want to help you grow and develop confident practitioners and teams.
We are one of the first Authorities in the North-West to pioneer the Hertfordshire Family Safeguarding Model of working with families. Training will be provided to learn new skills within our Model of practice. You will work alongside Adult Practitioners, giving you more time and scope to work with children.
Within Family Safeguarding we use motivational interviewing, a multi‑agency approach, and collaborate closely to support families to find their own solutions effectively, reducing the need for referrals and improving outcomes.
You will have oversight of children and young people who are subject to child in need and child protection planning, who are subject to pre‑proceedings and in care and private law proceedings.
You will be supporting our development of the Families First Partnership Programme Development, and this is a very exciting time to work in Local Authority Social Work, particularly in Bury.
