The Role
As an OME Supervisor, you will become an integral member of the Defence and Safety function, providing leadership and oversight in relation to areas of the Maritime & Land Business that transcend the business units.
Day‑to‑day, you will have a range of activities to manage, from staff development, stocktaking, H&S training and managing hazardous materials and the disposal of.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Hazardous Activities within your control are conducted in accordance with Internal and external legislation
- Conduct munitions disposal tasks when required, in accordance with the relevant process instruction
- Provide leadership, ensure the availability of competent staff and ensure that the appropriate level of supervision is applied to all tasks
- Maintain QinetiQ Munitions Accounting System (QMAS) proficiency, providing cover when required
Essential Experience
- Relevant Ordnance Munitions and Explosives experience (ESA NOS)
- Leadership and managerial skills essential
Essential Qualifications
- Maths or Physics A-Level
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
- Knowledge of ER14/DSA 03 and safe systems of work

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Benbecula, Hebrides site and this is a full‑time onsite position with expected travel across several Hebrides based facilities.
