An ambitious and well-regarded independent construction consultancy is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their Cambridge team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to develop within a close-knit and high-performing environment, working across a strong pipeline of residential, commercial and education projects.

The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will support senior commercial staff across the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties. The Role

  • Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies
  • Supporting procurement processes, tender preparation and analysis
  • Assisting in the administration of contracts (primarily JCT)
  • Monitoring project costs, variations and change control
  • Supporting valuations, interim payments and final accounts
  • Preparing cost reports and financial updates
  • Working closely with project teams and stakeholders to support successful delivery

The Project Quantity Surveyor?

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Previous experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or similar
  • Good understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Confident communication and organisational ability
  • Ambition to progress towards chartership (RICS or similar)
