Job Description

As the sole Platform Engineer, you will own Kyckr’s Azure ecosystem end-to-end, managing complex infrastructure that sources real-time data from 300+ registries globally. You’ll drive the modernization of legacy systems while scaling a new Registry Hub architecture, ensuring reliability and security for a high-profile client base of banks and fintechs.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Full autonomy as a solo platform lead reporting directly to the CTO, with total ownership over the Azure Landing Zone and cloud evolution.
  • Work on a mission-critical data engine that powers global financial compliance, handling real-time synchronization across 120 countries and 300 corporate registries.
  • Join a pragmatic, async-first engineering culture that prioritizes high-impact technical work over bureaucracy, utilizing modern tools like GitHub Copilot and Bicep.

What you will do

  • Manage and evolve Azure Landing Zone architecture using Terraform and Bicep for application services like Functions, APIM, and Service Bus.
  • Oversee the Kubernetes cluster orchestrating high-scale web scraping infrastructure and maintain over 33 YAML-based Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Lead platform security and governance by enforcing RBAC, Azure Policy, and Managed Identities to meet rigorous fintech compliance standards.

The ideal candidate

  • 5-8 years of hands‑on Platform Engineering experience with deep expertise in core Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep).
  • Proven track record in Kubernetes administration, container orchestration, and managing complex CI/CD environments within Azure DevOps.
  • Strong security mindset and independent problem‑solving skills, capable of communicating technical trade-offs clearly to a distributed, international engineering team.
