Overview
Central London Forward (CLF) is seeking a Policy Officer to lead our work on Housing, Planning and Infrastructure. Working as part of our Policy Team, this role will guide CLF’s initiatives on planning, housing and infrastructure, building on previous work that has influenced regional and national debates in these areas. This is an exciting time for planning and infrastructure policy across London, and the Policy Officer will help deliver on those agendas.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Members and Officers from the 12 member authorities, coordinating officer groups and managing cross‑borough partnership projects.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including the GLA, London Councils and employer organisations.
- Analyse policy issues and produce quantitative research outputs to support evidence‑based advocacy.
- Communicate effectively, both in person and in writing, to a range of audiences.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and foster collaborative working to advance CLF’s agenda.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of the role of local authorities in London and the policy‑making process.
- Strong knowledge of planning and infrastructure policy.
- Experience in quantitative research is desirable.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Enthusiastic, collaborative approach and willingness to take on new challenges.
