What this role is all about

As a Senior Finance Analyst within our Vitality Programme, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting purpose-led partnerships that sit at the core of what we do. You’ll take full ownership of complex, end‑to‑end financial activities, from month‑end close and partner accounting to audit-ready outputs, while working closely with stakeholders across the business. This is a role for someone who enjoys digging into detail, solving complex problems, and turning financial data into meaningful insight that drives better decisions.

Key Actions

  • Ensure accurate accounting – maintain precise accounting for multiple Vitality Partners within the Vitality P&L self-sufficiently.
  • Own the end‑to‑end month‑end close for assigned partners, including accruals, re‑accruals, reallocations, and variance analysis.
  • Apply accounting standards, VAT rules and materiality thresholds accurately and consistently.
  • Ensure all outputs are independently checked, control ready, and supported by clear audit trails prior to review.
  • Interpret and reconcile data from Vitality Partners to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Proactively investigate discrepancies, identify root cause, and resolve issues end to end, escalating appropriately.
  • Manage the timely processing of cashbacks and invoices to customers and partners, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Take full ownership of deliverables through to completion, including chasing dependencies and coordinating inputs from other teams where required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, automate controls, and standardise outputs to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with financial standards and tax requirements. Monitor and manage tax obligations related to partner transactions and ensure timely compliance.

What do you need to thrive?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Fully qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in accurate accounting and financial management within a P&L environment, with strong knowledge of financial standards and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience reconciling financial data, resolving data quality issues, and working with stakeholders on long-term improvements.
  • Ability to simplify complex tasks, document processes clearly, and create efficient workflows.
  • Experience analysing partner performance to identify trends and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience handling audit requests and coordinating with audit teams to meet timelines.
  • Experience managing payments (including cashbacks and invoices) to tight deadlines, with strong knowledge of tax requirements and managing tax obligations for financial transactions.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools, with exposure to automation and emerging technologies (e.g. AI).
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving and communication skills, with high levels of accuracy and integrity.
