Your Impact
As Head of Finance, you’ll be the financial backbone of the business, ensuring robust reporting, compliance, and insight-driven decision-making. You’ll lead the finance team and work cross-functionally to support project delivery, commercial success, and facilitate their continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the full finance function to support scalable growth
- Deliver accurate financial reporting, KPIs, dashboards and insights
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial scenario planning
- Oversee project P&Ls and support financial modelling for proposals
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with accounting standards
- Drive cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Manage invoicing, collections, banking relationships and treasury
- Strengthen finance integration with project teams
- Handle AP/AR, VAT returns, expenses, and statutory compliance
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors for year-end and tax matters
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
- Experience in an SME environment
- Background in consulting or professional services
- Advanced Excel skills
- Project accounting knowledge
- Understanding of UK tax regulations including R&D credits
