Company Description

London-based startup building the world’s first autonomous technology deployment platform for heavy industries.

Job Description

You will build the orchestration layer automating software roll-outs for global infrastructure projects. This role involves designing DAG-based workflows, typed action contracts, and reliable async systems. Working at the ground level, you’ll create the “paved roads” for a platform that replaces manual consultancy with AI-driven deployment and deep enterprise integrations.

Location

London, UK

Why this role is remarkable

  • Build a first-of-its-kind orchestration engine that manages complex deployments for the world’s largest engineering and construction enterprises.
  • Join an early-stage team where you can shape the architecture from scratch and define the “golden path” for all future engineering.
  • Work in a high-urgency environment tackling a multi-billion dollar market inefficiency that has never seen a technical solution.

What You Will Do

  • Design and maintain the backend platform using Python and FastAPI to power autonomous deployment workflows.
  • Own the end-to-end reliability of the system, including CI/CD pipelines, async worker health, and pragmatic observability.
  • Collaborate directly with the CTO to translate product requirements into scalable, production-grade systems with clear API contracts.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong experience shipping production-grade backend systems in Python with a focus on clear API design and system reliability.
  • Proven ability to manage production operations, including deployments, incident response, and building robust observability dashboards.
  • High engineering judgment with a bias for simple, shipping solutions over over-engineered architectures in an ambiguous startup environment.
