Overview

Why a Great Opportunity. We offer up to $4,000 relocation reimbursements for out of state and up to $2,000 for in-state outside of a 50 mile radius from residence to hospital. We also extend sign-on bonuses: $10k paid over a 2 year period for RNs with a minimum of three years’ experience and $3k paid over a two year period for RNs with more than 1 year and less than three years’ experience.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general direction of the Unit Director, Clinical Manager and Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (R.N.) independently provides holistic, individualized care using the Nursing Process for patients routinely seen on the unit.
  • Demonstrates an advanced level of clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.
  • Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills.
  • The R.N. is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and nursing care delivery appropriate to the ages of the patients served, obtains and interprets information in terms of the patient’s needs, demonstrates knowledge of growth and development, and understands the range of treatment needed for all patient groups.
  • Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours which may include holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call in the Director’s absence. Participates in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours as directed.
  • Recognizes an affirmative duty to report perceived misconduct, including actual or potential violations of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, or the organization’s standards/code of conduct.
  • Works well under pressure, meets multiple deadlines, and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors from all hospital departments and government agency employees.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. Must have and maintain current BLS card; ACLS and PALS required for all experienced Emergency Department nurses upon hire/start date. If new hire transfers into the ED or has no prior ED experience (within the last 2 years), BLS must be current prior to starting/transferring; ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire/transfer start date.
  • MICN certification required within 1 year of starting employment/transfer or prior to being assigned as Charge RN or Resource RN.
  • Recent graduate/new nurse requirement: BLS before hire/start date and ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire/start date.
  • Must have and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or obtain within one (1) year of assignment to department.
