Senior Finance Business Partner – One LSC Finance supporting Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, based at Preston Business Centre.

Qualifications and Skills

  • CCAB or CIMA qualified with a strong background in Financial Management.
  • Forward‑thinking, proactive, capable of leading a team to support the strategic direction of the Finance Directorate and the Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic financial advice for cross‑cutting workstreams identified in the Model Hospital / Model Health Systems data.
  • Support the Trust with effective use of external/internal benchmarking data to drive efficiencies.
  • Ensure statutory/NHS returns represent a true and fair view and meet financial timescales and legal requirements.
  • Investigate and advise on highly complex business management issues to enhance financial awareness and business performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial performance, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic solutions for intricate financial challenges.
  • Foster a patient‑centric approach to financial success, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a unified and holistic approach to financial management.
  • Develop internal relationships and work with Continuous Improvement, Finance & Procurement Teams and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the Department in advising and recommending alternative courses of action to improve financial performance.
  • Produce realistic forecasts for FRP in agreement with Divisional Finance Leads/Service Leads.
  • Provide overall management and supervision to the Divisional Financial Management Team, fostering an efficient and timely service.
  • Deliver complex financial performance reports for the division to the Assistant Finance Director and Executive Team.
