Senior Software Engineer – Health Technology (Cambridge, Hybrid)

Location: Cambridge (hybrid)

We’re partnering with an organisation at the forefront of developing cutting‑edge technology that’s redefining how we understand and approach human health. They’re looking to bring a skilled Software Developer into their growing team who has strong Python skills – especially around API development – and the ability to apply this attention to detail to front‑end projects and intuitive designs.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, secure and scalable code using modern frameworks and tools to bring innovative designs to life.
• Build robust APIs using Python and connect them with front‑end technologies such as TypeScript‑based frameworks, ensuring smooth user experiences and efficient data flows.
• Use Python to power AI and machine learning systems, including model development, model serving and production inference.
• Develop reliable backend infrastructure to support dynamic web applications.
• Work with relational databases to ensure effective data handling and management.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience using Python.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clean and efficient code.
• A genuine motivation to work in the Tech4Good space and be part of a business creating positive impact.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• A proactive approach to learning and confidence in tackling new challenges in a fast‑paced environment.
