Job Title: Head of Transformation Supply – Plasma

Job Summary

Lead the transformation of plasma supply services that directly support life‑saving treatments across the UK. As Head of Transformation – Supply, Plasma, you will drive innovation, modernise manufacturing processes, and shape national strategy for plasma supply and component development. Working with senior leaders, clinicians, and external partners, you will deliver complex programmes that improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. You’ll champion new technologies, strengthen supply chain capability, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across a highly regulated environment. This is a high‑impact leadership role where your strategic vision and expertise will help ensure a safe, sustainable, and future‑ready plasma supply.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead the design and delivery of large‑scale transformation programmes across plasma supply and manufacturing services.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for plasma supply, innovation, and technology adoption.
  • Provide visible leadership across multidisciplinary teams, driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including clinical, scientific, operational, and regulatory partners.
  • Lead the development of policies, procedures, and best practice in plasma manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Oversee procurement of strategic equipment, systems, and technologies to support transformation.
  • Manage complex projects, ensuring risks are mitigated and delivery meets quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and support specialist teams, ensuring capability and performance in line with organisational goals.
  • Build strong national and international partnerships to share best practice and drive innovation.
  • Monitor performance, budgets, and outcomes, ensuring value for money and successful delivery of transformation objectives.

About You

Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven leadership experience delivering large‑scale service transformation in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, programmes, and resources across multiple sites.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into strategic and operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience of driving innovation, service improvement, and change programmes.

Qualifications and Training

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent significant leadership and operational experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
  • High level of competence in standard IT systems (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
