CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

Overview

We are looking for an energetic and outgoing personality within the right candidate to work in a fun and forward-thinking organisation as a CNC Machinist.

The role will be responsible for routine programming, setting and run a variety of CNC machines to produce high quality components.

Working relationships

• Assembly Department
• QA and Inspection

Key Responsibilities

• To set, programme and operate CNC machines in a timely and efficient manner with safety being paramount
• Working to drawings and CAD files with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
• Operating CNC plus manual machinery as well as a wide variety of hand tools
• Able to work independently or part of a team
• Able to work within time constraints and acceptable tolerances
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Sound IT Skills
• Problem Solving
• Attention to detail
• Goal driven attitude

Experience

• Excellent knowledge of CAD/CAM process
• Loading of fixtures and tooling
• Knowledge of measuring tools
• Excellent understanding of feeds and speeds on a variety of materials

Qualifications

• Any relevant qualifications with regards to CNC with the addition of tractor driving proficiency
• City & Guilds in engineering level 1 is desirable
