Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Allergy

Role Overview

A vacancy at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a 9‑person‑anniversary (PA) post for a Consultant paediatrician with a special interest in paediatric allergy. The candidate will be required to provide a comprehensive service covering all aspects of the specialty and will be expected to collaborate with the lead clinician in the management and development of the paediatric service. Previous experience in hospital management would be a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Ward attending on weekdays and weekends.
• Run general paediatric outpatient clinics.
• Conduct paediatric allergy clinics.
• Attend the Paediatric Assessment Unit from 08:00 to 16:00.
• Provide on‑call cover for ward, PAU and A&E.
• Cover acute paediatrics on a rotating basis (08:00–18:00) and provide on‑call duties from 17:30 until 08:00 off‑site.
• Participate in the North West London (regional) Allergy MDT.
• Contribute to job planning and development of the paediatric service in collaboration with the lead clinician.
• Be prepared to work at any additional or different location owned or served by the Trust, either on an ongoing or temporary basis, according to service demands.
