Dimensional Quality Inspector

A long-established manufacturing and fabrication business is seeking a skilled Dimensional Quality Inspector to join its quality and inspection team. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet required specifications, standards, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed dimensional inspections on fabricated and machined components.
• Verify components against engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections throughout the production cycle.
• Use a range of precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Identify, record, and report non-conformances and inspection results.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions where required.
• Liaise with production and quality personnel to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in a Dimensional or Quality Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), particularly:
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• Dye Penetrant Testing (Dye Pen).
• Current or previous NDT certifications.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:45pm.
• Friday: 6am – 1pm.
