Interim Financial Controller – Premium British Fashion Brand
We’re partnering with a leading British heritage fashion brand to appoint a Financial Controller into a high-impact role at the heart of the business.
Candidates must be available for an immediate start although the role could go permanent for the right candidate
Reporting to the CFO, you’ll take full ownership of financial reporting, controls, and compliance across the group. This is a hands-on opportunity within a lean team, offering real visibility and the chance to influence senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the monthly close process and delivering accurate, insightful board reporting
- Owning the year-end process and acting as the key contact for external auditors
- Strengthening and evolving the financial controls environment
- Managing cash flow, treasury, and lender reporting requirements
- Ensuring covenant compliance and supporting strategic financial decisions
- ACA (or equivalent) qualified finance professional
- Proven Financial Controller or senior finance experience, ideally within retail or consumer-led businesses
- Strong technical expertise with end-to-end ownership of reporting and audit
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Experience mentoring or leading junior team members
